MCT Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd commenced operations in 1997. The company has expanded and grown over the last decade from a relatively small entity to a meaningful force in the telecommunications sector, with a comprehensive product and service portfolio. Not only has MCT set the industry standard in South Africa for the provision of operational support systems (OSS) for the outside plant environment (OSP), but it also boasts long-standing and exclusive relationships with our off-shore technology partners in this application area. MCT Telecommunications provide complete turnkey solutions for network build projects and have an extensive capability and a proven track record in delivering complex national projects. Our managed services offering for fibre networks has set a new standard against which networks are built, commissioned, supported and maintained. Vision / MissionMCT Telecommunications (Pty) Ltd, represented by the shareholders, directors, management and staff, are committed to being the market leader in the provision of managed services for copper and fibre cable networks, supply of operational support systems for outside plant (OSP) applications, as well as optical transport and specialised technology applications in the telecommunications environment. MCT Telecommunications are committed to consistently exceeding their our customer’s expectations by effectively aligning technology solutions and professional services with its customer’s business requirements. ShareholdingMCT Telecommunications developed a Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) strategy in 2004, and have since achieved considerable success in implementing this strategy to include all levels of the company and to date have a 43.03% BEE shareholding. To date, MCT has significant PDI representation in its equity shareholding, board of directors, executive management and at operational levels. MCT has extended this strategy to incorporate their sub-contracting, affirmative procurement, as well as corporate social responsibility spending. MCT is currently engaged in a formal BEE rating and accreditation process, and will in the near future obtain official certification. Quality AssuranceOur company was ISO 9001: 2000 certified in 2004 and we have since been successfully audited annually against this standard.
